About This Place

Located at 1308 N Miller St in the heart of Wenatchee, The Igloo stands out as a beloved local gem—a multifaceted bar, gambling house, pool hall, and pub that perfectly captures the spirit of small-town camaraderie. This is not your run-of-the-mill watering hole; it’s a vibrant gathering spot where the warmth of friendly faces blends seamlessly with the thrill of pull tabs and the clack of pool balls.

Step inside and you immediately feel embraced by an unpretentious, welcoming atmosphere. The space exudes a comfortable, lived-in charm, with classic dive bar fixtures that have aged well, and an energy that shifts effortlessly through the day—from the laid-back afternoon happy hour crowd of longtime locals to the lively evening mix of young and old. Customers like Nathan Davis highlight how bartenders remember you by name, making every visit feel personal and familiar. It’s clear that this is more than a bar; it’s a community hub where everyone is welcome and the vibe stays upbeat without the drama.

The Igloo also offers solid, satisfying fare that perfectly complements the drinks and games. Fans rave about the surprisingly hearty rib-eye steak served with fresh salad and crispy fries—a meal that is both a steal at $18 and a testament to their commitment to quality comfort food. The menu also features flavorful snacks like batter-dipped mushrooms that come with a satisfying crunch, and classic pub staples such as BLT sandwiches, finger steaks, and onion rings that deliver nostalgic bites at wallet-friendly prices.

Soup devotees will enjoy comforting choices like chili laden with cheese and onions or the rich clam chowder served with crackers, warming you on a chilly evening. The Igloo’s drink list leans on popular local favorites such as beer and cider, perfect for sipping while chatting over a game of pool or a round of pull tabs—the gambling-style scratch tickets that add an extra layer of fun to your night, especially if you’re feeling lucky.

The Igloo’s charm lies in its authentic dive bar ambiance paired with an undeniable sense of belonging. Reviewer Dawn captures this sentiment beautifully, describing it as a place where the fixtures are older than you, but your tab won’t break the bank, and where the feeling of home is palpable. It’s that kind of place where visitors quickly become regulars, drawn by its honest, down-to-earth vibe and genuinely friendly crowd.

Whether you’re craving a casual night out with affordable eats, eager to test your luck on pull tabs, or just looking for a no-frills spot to unwind and meet locals, The Igloo delivers on every front. It’s a slice of Wenatchee’s heart—unassuming yet unforgettable, and deeply rooted in community.

If an authentic, welcoming dive bar with great food, cheap drinks, and endless local charm sounds like your kind of place, make sure The Igloo is on your list when you’re in Wenatchee. As Justin Bennett put it simply, “Will definitely be back at least once a week.”

This is a hometown favorite. Most the bartenders are super friendly and I now some by name and they know me the same. Lots of pull tabs several pool tables good stuff drinks and customers are nice enough too. Good in there you have your happy hour older folks and then the evening has a mix of younger and older. Nobody is causing problems because its bar area is close enough close quarters enough that if you're starting something it will be noticed and you will be asked to stop.

We were craving a burger after spending a week away at camp, so we saw The Igloo and we decided to take a chance. I don't know how to describe this place, but it was awesome. While one might feel a bit cautious going on (I was the only POC in the place), it was fine. It was clear that this is a place for locals. They knew one another, and it was charming. It is a bar/pub, so it took a bit to figure out how to order. We started a tab for our lunch and ordered a burger and a burger dip. Both were EXCELLENT. I'm not sure when we'll be back in that area, but my guess is that we'll be back.

I will start with this is not the place for everybody..... but if you like a good locals place, a dive bar where everyone is welcome, where the fixtures are older than you are, and your tab will not break the bank.... this is for you! We are from the west side and Wenatchee feels like our east side second home - we visit often and had been searching for this kind of place that would make us feel like we were at home and we found it! Great attentive service with great drinks and great prices. We had 2 mugs of beer and 2 well drinks and our tab was only $13! Next visit we are trying some bar food!

Fantastic hole in the wall style bar. Prices can’t be beat either. $18 for a ribeye steak, fries and a salad! Will definitely be back at least once a week

Awesome little dive bar. Great food. Cheap beer. What more could you want? Also, if you are not from Washington they have "pull tabs" which is kind of like a scratch it ticket. So maybe win some money while you drink your beer!

The best service out of any bar I've been to. Great bar grub. 2 pool tables, booths and tables. Cozy, comfortable setting you will enjoy with any amount of friends who show up.
